As a babysitter during the covid era, a lot of my initial babysitting experience came from offering to take the children in my neighborhood to the park or to other outdoor activities during the day to give their parents a break while they had to work from home. I learnt a lot from this experience - I sometimes was looking after upwards of 5 kids from the ages of 4 to 12, so learning how to keep them all engaged, safe and happy was very essential.
