Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

My name is Natarsha, I am 19 years old and currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts at ANU. I am seeking casual babysitting opportunities that align with my study schedule. I have held a driver’s license for two years, with a clean record and no accidents or fines, and I own my own car. During my gap year, I worked at Pinocchio Early Learning Centre in Curtin, one of Canberra's leading childcare services. Since starting university, I have reduced my hours at the centre, but I am now looking for casual work that offers more flexibility. With almost two years of experience working with children, I am confident in my ability to care for children aged 6 months to 5 years. I take pride in creating safe, fun, and engaging environments where children can learn and grow. Having had many babysitters myself growing up, I understand the importance of ensuring that children feel secure, respected, and stimulated during their time with a caregiver. I am energetic, enthusiastic, hardworking, and responsible, with a focus on creativity and fitness due to my long involvement in dance and performance. I am passionate about both learning and teaching, which makes me not only a capable homework helper but also someone who can connect well with children through activities like reading, board games, and even chess. I am happy to provide references from both parents and my workplace upon request.

... and live-out nanny. WWVP card registration no: 96757 exp's 14/07/2029. Equivalent to NSW WWCC. Mature with long term experience educating & caring for my own children, other's in childcare centres or in my/their homes. Currently caring for a young baby 10:00-13:00 Tue's and Thu's & another baby 1-3 hours Mon & Fri mornings & Tue-Thu afternoons. Only available week day mornings from 08:00-09:30. Not available weekends, Friday or Saturday nights, public holidays & the day after new years day & 2 weeks mid February each year. Previously worked as a qualified/childcare educator in childcare centres mostly 2007-2023. Wishing to increase my hours a little working as a nanny/day-time babysitter. I have transported children to & from after school activities in my or supplied by families cars with supplied child car seat/s. Earlier this year I did school pick ups & cared for 6yr old & 9 yr old sibling a few afternoons a week similar to my (lower down the page) 2022 family. Over the 2022 school year, I regularly worked as a live-out nanny for a 4yr old & 6yr old siblings. I cared for the 4yr old at least most of one day a week & drove her to her daytime activities, some days dropped off/or picked up both from pre/school & drove both to daytime/after school swimming lessons. Was approx 20 hours/week. I encourage/join in with card/board games, make available indoor activities such as art, sewing & craft. Able to bring my sewing machine to your home heavily supervised. I discourage screen time. Very open to your ideas of extracurricular activities & once I know your family & your local area I am confident to make suggestions to you to extend local outdoor activities I could be involved in with your child/ren. Very capable & willing to assist with homework. I have parent, personal & work referees. Still on call to do the odd school pick up/Fri or Sat late afternoon til late evening care for my 2022 family. We have remained close friends. My family & I are still very outdoorsy. We have a large vegetable garden. At the time took our children, now adults, camping, bicycling, on picnics on remote river banks & on long caravan road trips. As far as I am concerned there is no such thing as bad weather as long as you have the appropriate clothing (except of course the extreme outdoor sun & heat of summer.) Would do indoor activities in these instances. Love to jump in puddles or mud, go for long walks to local playgrounds or transport children to outdoor destinations. Would love to hear from you to discuss the care of your child/ren.
