I am a mature French born women, have been in Australia for now 30 years (I have dual citizenship), and am back to Canberra. I first lived in Perth where I completed an ‘Introduction to Child Care’ Certificate. Then I moved to Canberra where I worked as a casual relief worker in different childcare centres including the Alkira Child Care Centre and the Australian Institute of Sport’s Child Care Centre (Caretaker’s Cottage). Hi, my name's Georgia! I am in my third year of university, and have experience both as a babysitter and a tutor! As a babysitter during the covid era, a lot of my initial babysitting experience came from offering to take the children in my neighborhood to the park or to other outdoor activities during the day to give their parents a break while they had to work from home. I learnt a lot from this experience - I sometimes was looking after upwards of 5 kids from the ages of 4 to 12, so learning how to keep them all engaged, safe and happy was very essential. Most of my experience post-covid was mostly looking after the children within on family. I've mostly babysat for families with 2+ kids, and am comfortable with getting dinner on the table and putting the kids to bed.
