Hi! We are a family of 3 - I am Betty (30), my husband Anthony (34) and baby Aria (2). Aria is absolutely the heart of our family - she is so curious and cheeky! She loves dancing to music, reading books and is hands down an outdoors baby who wants to be outside, rain hail or shine.
We are looking for a babysitter to cover my working hours on Monday and Wednesday (10am-1pm (3hrs) starting on a weekly basis from 5 May 2026. Anthony and I will both be present and working from home, and Anthonyβs workspace is in the living room (which is also sometimes a play space).
What we are looking for in a babysitter: Aria is by temperament cautious, sensitive and slow to warm up, so it is important to us that her babysitter is gentle, patient, empathetic and emotionally-attuned to her and her needs, and is willing to give her full attention and consistency to foster trust. She is also starting to experience big emotions, so we are looking for someone who is able to help her identify her emotions and comfort her through any feelings that may overwhelm her. We would like a babysitter who adopts screen-free and child-led play, and someone who genuinely enjoys playing and engaging with toddlers and is willing to follow Ariaβs cues and interests (which might mean potentially repeating the same word over and over again, or playing the same game over and over again!). We are looking for someone to delight in Aria, encourage her and help her understand her experiences.
Some things we will not be expecting you to do include: putting Aria to sleep, and making food (other than getting pre-made snacks for Aria). We are currently toilet training her, so you would be expected to help her in this process.
Ariaβs naps may be unpredictable, so we are looking for someone also willing to help with basic cleaning/housework if she falls asleep between 10am-1pm.
Please reach out if you think you would be a great fit! Looking forward to hearing from you!
