Babysitting and Nanny Jobs in Powelltown VIC

Temporary Role for a week in September.

(AND Potential Ongoing Wednesday Work)

We’re a friendly busy family in Olinda looking for a reliable nanny/family support person while Mum is away for one week in September. We have a friendly school-aged daughter (9) and energetic Son (5) who is a kinder kid. Their school/ kinder is in Belgrave Heights.

When

September 14-17th

(Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday)

Morning support from approximately 6:00 am until school drop-off (around 9:00 am).

If you’d like additional hours to make it worth it, we’re also happy for you to stay on after school drop-off to help with light household resetting (tidying toys away, folding washing, cook a meal, general organisation) until around 10:00–11:00 am.

Longer hours on Wednesday: Ideally we’d love one person who could also stay for the whole day to care for our son, take him to his activities and collect our daughter from school and finish around 4:00 pm.

However, we’re also very happy to hear from applicants who are only available for the morning shifts.

What the mornings involve

* Arriving before Dad leaves for work ( which is around 6:15am)
* Helping the children wake and get ready for the day at 7am
* Preparing breakfast and packing lunchboxes.
* Encouraging morning routines (getting dressed, teeth, school bags).
* Driving the children to school.

If staying later:

* Light household resetting (not deep cleaning).
* Kitchen tidy.
* Folding washing.
* General organisation to help keep the household running smoothly.

Wednesday (ideal but optional)

* Caring for our younger son during the day.
* Taking him to his regular activities.
* Collecting our daughter from school.
* Spending the afternoon with both children until approximately 4:00 pm.

About you

We’re looking for someone who is:

* Warm, calm and dependable.
* Confident caring for children independently.
* Comfortable driving children (full licence and own reliable vehicle preferred). We can provide car seat for our son.
* Organised and proactive.
* Happy to assist with light household tasks while the children are at school if they’d like the extra hours.

Experience supporting neurodivergent children would be highly regarded, but isn’t essential if you’re patient, kind and willing to learn. They are honestly very friendly pretty easy kids.

WWCC, First Aid and references are preferred.

This is initially a one-week role while Mum is away, with the possibility of ongoing Wednesday full day work for the right person.

We are seeking an sitter on a on-going basis, ideally Monday & Wednesday afternoons for after school care and early evening.
There will be some additional times as well.
We have 2 children.
A 2 year old (boy) and a 6 year old (girl)
We are based in Berwick.

Location: Croydon
Start date: Monday 10 August
Days: Two set days per week - Wednesdays (7:30am-4:30pm) plus either Mondays or Thursdays (8:30am-4:30pm), depending on the nanny's preference
Children: Two boys, aged 3½ years and 18 months
Kinder: The 3½-year-old needs to be dropped off and picked up from kinder on both days, so for around five hours each day it would just be the 18-month-old. The kinder is a 7 min walk away.
School terms only (no work during school holidays as I am a teacher).
