Babysitting and Nanny Jobs in Scarborough NSW

We’re looking for someone wonderful to join our family!

We’re a loving family in Miranda with three lovely kids (7, 10, and 13) who are excited to meet their new nanny.

The role:
• Before and after school care on Thursdays (7–8 hours)
• Occasional Fridays (around 3 hours)
• Light, child-focused duties

We’re hoping to find someone looking for a genuine long-term commitment as our kids do best with consistency, and we’d love to build a lasting, trusting relationship with the right person.

• Caring for and engaging with our son.

• Supporting Mum/Dad with his lunch and bath.

• Nappy changes, folding his clothes.

• Cleaning up after the baby

• Playing with him and encouraging new skills, and keeping his play area clean

My nanny is away for 2 months so seeking an experienced nanny for our baby until mid-September. We’re hoping to find someone mature, nurturing, and confident, who genuinely enjoys caring for infants and becoming part of a family’s routine.

3.5 days: days can be a bit flexible

Tue (1/2 day) + Wed to Fri (full day)
Or
Mon (full day) + Tue (1/2 day) + Thu (full day) + Fri (full day)

We are a warm, close-knit family of three based in Kingsgrove. We are both medical doctors and have a happy, curious son, who has just turned 2.

We are looking for an experienced, long-term career nanny to become a trusted and valued part of our family life.

Essential Requirements:
• Minimum 2-3 years experience in nannying or formal childcare settings
• Current First Aid, CPR and Anaphylaxis qualifications
• Valid Working with Children Check
• National Police Check
• Up-to-date immunisations (including whooping cough and influenza)
• At least two professional childcare-related references
• Current Australian driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle to get to work (no need to drive our son during the day)

Welcomed but not essential:
• Bachelor-qualified Early Childhood Teacher, Diploma/Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care or nursing/allied health background
• Flexibility or interest in additional hours on an ad hoc basis

Day-to-day responsibilities include:
• Planning and providing screen-free activities such as reading, musical play, sensory activities, arts and crafts, and walks or park outings in our local area
• Supporting mealtimes (we will provide pre-prepared meals) and naptimes, maintaining a calm and consistent daily routine
• Light child-related housework — keeping play areas tidy, child’s laundry, loading the dishwasher
• Communicating openly with us throughout the day

Schedule & Start Date:
• Monday, Wednesday, Thursday 7:00 am – 6:00 pm (33 hours per week)
• Starting ASAP but willing to wait for the right candidate
• We are happy to settle you into the role gradually, so you feel supported as you become familiar with our home, the local area and our son’s routine

What We Offer:
• $40–$45 per hour, based on qualifications and experience
