I'm looking for a friendly, caring person to look after my two sons who are 3 and 5 years old.

During the week, I'm looking for someone to look after my 3-year-old either on a Tuesday or Thursday morning from 8am-12.30/1pm. Occasional casual evening babysitting.

On the weekend I'm pretty flexible and am looking for someone on a regular basis to work at least 4 hours, but the time may change (I'm happy to work it out between us as we go and give you as much notice as possible). I'm looking for either a Saturday or Sunday morning (9am-1pm) and the occasional Saturday evening instead of a morning.

About us:
I am a solo parent to my two little boys. The boys are friendly and funny and full of energy and love to play at home and also enjoy getting out to the playground (I have car seats you can put in your car).

My 5 year old is at school during the week. My 3 year old is currently seeing an OT for support for potential ASD. He is very clever, chatty and funny, but has trouble regulating his big feelings which can sometimes lead to meltdowns. We are continuing to work on strategies to support him, and I'd love a babysitter who is kind and patient, with an awareness of neurodivergence.

Your role:
playing with the boys (or just my 3 yr old)
making simple snacks, although I'll often prepare things/have things ready.
bedtime routine if babysitting during the evening
if you have a moment while the boys are occupied- unloading the dishwasher or picking up toys

We still have our lovely babysitter that we've had for a few years now, however I'm looking for someone else while they are unavailable for a few months, but with the intent of keeping you on long term.

We are located in Tweed Heads South.

EXPERIENCED PART-TIME NANNY WANTED - HOLIDAY COVER - TWEED HEADS

We are a friendly family based in Tweed Heads looking for an experienced, warm and reliable nanny to care for our happy 16-month-old daughter while our regular nanny is away on holidays.

We have a nanny we absolutely love, who will be away from 27 August until 4 October, so we are looking for someone wonderful to step in and support our family during this period.

While this role is primarily for holiday cover, we are also open to building an ongoing relationship with a second nanny who our daughter gets to know and feel comfortable with. This could suit someone who would like occasional extra care work in the future, particularly if our regular nanny is unavailable or we need additional support.

About the Role

Holiday Cover Dates:
27 August to 4 October

Hours:
• Monday: 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
• Wednesday: 12:30 pm - 5:30 pm
• Friday: 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

Additional Hours:
• Opportunity for occasional extra half days
• Occasional evening babysitting
• Potential for future ad hoc care if it is a good fit
• Additional hours available by mutual agreement

Duties Include:
• Sole care of our 16-month-old daughter
• Age-appropriate play and activities
• Preparing snacks and meals for our daughter
• Taking her on outings to parks, playgrounds, library sessions and other local activities
• Supporting her development through play, exploration and engagement
• Keeping play areas tidy after use

No heavy housework or laundry required.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:
• Experience caring for children under 2 years of age
• Current Working With Children Check
• Current First Aid and CPR
• Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
• Comfortable transporting a toddler to local activities
• Warm, reliable and proactive nature
• Excellent references

Preferred:
• Early Childhood qualification or relevant childcare experience
• Previous nanny experience
• Confidence caring for toddlers independently
• Availability for the full cover period, or most of it
• Open to occasional future care if it is a good fit for both sides

Remuneration

• Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications

About Us

We’re Jordan and Elise and we live in Tweed Heads with our 16-month-old daughter. Jordan works as a Construction Project Manager and Elise is a Chiropractor returning to work part-time. We’re pretty easy-going people who value God, family, good communication and treating people well.

We enjoy good food, trying new restaurants when we get the chance and generally prioritising our health, although these days most of our energy goes into keeping up with a busy toddler. If we get a rare night to ourselves, we’re usually on the couch watching a crime series or a rom-com.

We’re hoping to find someone who feels like a natural fit with our family, is confident with toddlers, and would enjoy stepping into a settled and welcoming home while our regular nanny is away. We would also love to have someone our daughter can get to know as a trusted second nanny for the occasional extra bit of care in the future.
