We are a couple in Leichhardt looking for a casual babysitter that we can welcome into our home. We have a sweet, sensitive natured 4 year old boy and looking for someone who will be able to connect with him and look after him causally, thinking maybe one evening a month.
We haven't used babysitters before as our family have stepped in here and there, and as a baby, he was always very attached to us and ambivalent to go to new people. However, now that he is 4.5 years old and getting a little older, my partner and I would love to get out a little and enjoy the occasional date night, or night out with friends. We are thinking maybe once a month for 3 hours, and happy to make it a regular night (unless something urgent comes up for us or you) and possibly other random nights here and there. Happy to pay up to $35 an hour.
He's a very gentle, warm and happy kiddo but takes a while to warm upto new people, so we are thinking it might be an idea to have one or two playdates first (paid of course) where you could get to know him and us and our family before having an evening solo with him.

We are looking for someone to help us 3 days a week with our 17 month old boy (will be 20 months in Feb) 3 days a week * hours to be confirmed but most likely 6-8 hours a day and days are flexible. We have another little boy arriving at the end of April. I am a stay at home mum and my husband runs his own business which is why we need the extra help. I’m looking for a nanny to help me navigate life with newborn twins and a toddler. My husband works long hours and is out of the house between 4:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday, and 4:30am-12:00pm Saturday, so I will need help managing 3 young children on my own.
For the first 5 weeks, I’d like someone to come it at 6am, 5 days per week to help get my toddler out of his cot and bring him downstairs to play and start the day, as I’m having a c-section and won’t be able to lift him.
After that, looking for help equivalent to 3 days per week, hours can be split across multiple days, however, I definitely need help on a Tuesday 8:30am -4:30pm and a Friday to be able to take my son to his morning activities.

A friendly family looking for a long term carer to help us 3 afternoons a week with our two precious kids. Our children (1 boy and 1 girl turning 6 & 5 respectively this year) will be starting their schooling career at St Mary's Cathedral School this year. We are so excited for their schooling journey but we want to ensure they still have a sense of belonging at home.
This role would entail fetching the two children at 15:00 from the school courtyard, boarding the bus that starts its route directly outside the school gate, riding it with the kids to our home in Abbotsford (bus stop is about a block and a half from our home) and helping the kids settle back at home. We would provide the cost of the bus ride.
Once home, a small snack and play time would be had, along with any assistance in homework, and some pre-dinner preparations would be completed. We dont expect a house cleaning services, rather just keeping things tidy as the afternoon goes on and cleaning up any mess along the way. The hope is the focus remains on engaging our children, assisting with afterschool activities or work and having fun. We expect either mom or dad to be home by 18:00 and relieving the days duties (typical 3 hour shift).

Max loves lego, animals, dancing and is very curious and friendly. He has a mild intellectual disability which means he is a bit smaller and his speech isn't as clear but he understand everthing and is a very cute, chilled and curious kid. We have two older boys in high school - 13 and 15 yrs who may also be in the house but are independent and can look after themselves but can help with dinner prep etc. We also have a friendly labradoodle.
