We are a family of 4 living in Woollahra, near Bondi Junction and have easy access to public transport. We have two daughters, aged 3 and 5, and we need some help after school, 2 days a week (Tues + Wed), + the occasional 3rd day when my husband travels for work depending on his schedule.
Typical afternoon would be watching our 5 year old once she finishes school from 3:30-5 until we finish work and pick up our youngest from daycare, then we take over the kids to spend some time with them and would ask you to do some cleaning, dinner prep, laundry, occasional errands, and then on days that I am alone some assistance with bath & bedtime.
This is a part time role, however we are looking for someone who would be a great fit and stay with us the long term.
We are looking for an engaged and energised person to care for our two boys after school each week, from Monday to Wednesday. The boys are 9 and 12, are active, like playing sport in the park, need help with homework and encouragement doing their piano practice. School is a 15 minute walk from home, and they will need picking up some afternoons, and preparing a cooking dinner. We would like someone who think ahead and helps with the planning.
To summarise what we are looking for:
• Care Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday afternoons, 3pm – 7pm (regular 3 days a week) starting 29 April.
• Looking after 2 boys, aged 9 and 12.
• Plan, cook (and shop if needed) – dinner meals for the two boys. Cook and clean up after meal.
• Possibly to pick boys up from school and walk home on some afternoons (school is about 15min walk from home)
• Sometimes the boys have afterschool activities, so being flexible about what happens in an afternoon.
• Engage with boys and encourage them to do their piano practice, homework etc.
• Monitor where the boys are, making sure they are doing something constructive (not computer screens)
• Be fun with the boys, we have a park across the road, can play basketball, kick the football etc.
• Take the job seriously, think about what you could do to better maximise time with the boys, but also variety and fun in their lives.
• Suggest the meals for the next week, make a plan for the following week.
• Sometimes the boy’s grandmother may be around in an afternoon to help with homework etc, so working with the family set up
• Communicate with us how the day went, and what we could all do to improve the afternoons.
• Talk to the boys in French around the house, as they are both learning French at school.
• Potential for an extra afternoon, or babysitting on weekend if you are available.
• If any time available, to just do a bit of cleaning and tidying around the home.

Care of our eldest boy (R) after school on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday. Approx. 245-5pm Monday and Thursday and 245-4 on Wednesdays (approx 7-8hrs pw). One parent will usually be WFH at the same time. Pick him up from school in your vehicle or use our e-bike (if confident). Organise an afternoon snack, playtime, reading and some screen time. On Wednesdays, prepare snacks for R and our younger daughter (B) and swimming gear for swimming at 5pm (parent will take). We are keen for this time to be happy and calm and focus on recovery from the busyness of the school day. We have a cavoodle puppy who will love to play and go for walks too. R is allergic to nuts so we are keen for the successful candidate to have first aid/anaphylaxis training.

My name is Amanda and my family and I live in West Pymble. We have 2 boys - aged 12 and 14 who attend school a short train ride away. We are looking for someone to work with us on weekdays both in the morning (6.30am to 8am) and afternoons (3.30pm to 6.30pm). The boys are pretty self sufficient and used to the routine. Role would involve keeping them on track in the morning, making them breakfast and lunchboxes and driving them to train station (occasional school drop off may be required around sports training schedules). Then picking them up from local train after school, making afternoon snacks and lunches for next day and driving/picking up from local sports activities a couple of times a week. We are looking for someone special to join our family to help with the day to day care of our delightful 1yo twins. Our eldest is in daycare full time.
