We’re a family of four in Blackalls Park seeking a part-time nanny (Tuesday and Wednesday) for our two children, boy aged 4 and girl 6 months. This role is a nanny share with another nanny who will work with us Wed-Fri. It would be great if occasionally the nannies can cover each other during holidays/sickness etc but not essential if you have other commitments.

We are looking for need a 12 month commitment and someone who can confidently cater to both the children’s needs, especially given the age gap. Our boy is energetic and currently attends daycare full time so this would be a big change for him. He will be attending preschool Monday and Thursday so on one of your days you’d need to drop off and pick up, and spend the majority of the day with the little one.

We mostly work from home so would be around, tucked away in self contained offices outside.

Rate is negotiable based on experience ($25-35)

We have a family with two daughters - 6 & 14. We need help on three Saturdays per month, from 1200 through to 1800, and on Tuesday & Thursday evenings (1830 - 2130) to help with putting the children to bed. The 14-year-old is pretty self-sufficient, but the 6-year-old needs the most attention. Both children have mild special needs. On Saturdays, you could choose to either mind the 6-year-old at the house or take her to a park or some local event. Both children need help with reading and learning, so being able to incorporate that into your care would be a plus. We would also expect some light housework such as washing up, folding clothes and preparing food to be done when there is spare time.

You will need a current Working With Children Check, a reference from other parents, and, ideally, some formal childcare training. It is really important that you commit to regular care, as we will build our schedule around this. We expect the care to be ongoing through 2025.
