Hello there! I'm currently seeking a part-time or casual nanny position after the family I’ve been working with moved out of town. I have over a decade of experience working with children of all ages, from infants to teenagers, and I’ve formed long-term, trusting relationships with the families I’ve worked with. I frequently step in as auntie for close friends and family, and have a step-daughter of my own too. I also work as a kids’ party, workshop and play space facilitator, fuelling my passion for supporting self-expression, learning, empowerment and play. In other words, I love kid's and am very experienced in caring for all ages. Prior studies in yoga and eastern philosophies, and my current focus on counselling and psychology, along with personal experience navigating my own mental health and neurodiversity, have contributed greatly to my ability to attune to and communicate well with children. I have a high capacity for providing emotional support, practicing non-violent communication and staying calm and regulated in stressful situations. My priority is to foster a mutually safe, trusting relationship with children and their families, and to nurture emotional regulation and connection, ensuring children feel seen, heard, and respected, aligning with familial values and being a positive role-model. I bring a playful and creative spirit with a love for exploration, adventures as well as cozy and fun times at home. I enjoy cooking, baking, making music, arts and crafts, and exploring nature, museums, playgrounds, libraries, galleries parks and whatever else the day takes us. I'm confident with planning activities, inspiring play and coming up with ideas that encourage joy and learning. I'm also a big fan of child-lead play and enjoy discovering and nurturing whatever sparks the child's interest and enthusiasm, and I find it very rewarding being a part of nurturing a child's interests and talent. I’m very happy to assist with daily tasks like morning and bedtime routines, school drop-offs, errands, meal prep, homework, laundry and general household upkeep.
