Hi! My name is Emily, and I'm a first-year Bachelor of Laws (Honours)/Bachelor of Commerce student at The University of Queensland, living in St Lucia. I recently graduated from Somerset College on the Gold Coast and am now enjoying university while looking for opportunities to support local families through babysitting.
I have over four years of experience in customer-facing roles, where I developed strong communication, responsibility and problem-solving skills. Alongside my studies, I've completed more than 100 hours of community service, including volunteering with children through The Smith Family Student2Student Reading Program, supporting children with additional needs through volunteer work at Mudgeeraba Special School, and volunteering with Disabled Surfers Australia to help create positive and inclusive experiences for participants and their families.
I genuinely enjoy spending time with children and aim to create a safe, caring and engaging environment where they feel comfortable and supported. I'm very happy to help with homework, read stories, play games, do arts and crafts, or simply keep children entertained while following your family's routines. I also love animals, so I'm more than happy to care for family pets as well.
I'm organised, friendly, patient and dependable, and I understand how important it is for parents to feel confident that their children are in safe and caring hands. I would love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide reliable, enthusiastic support whenever you need it.
