Spending that much time with children means you really become part of their world, and they become part of yours too. Something that means a lot to me is that I’m still very close with my host family. For me, working with kids rarely feels like a job, they really do become part of my extended family. I’m a pretty energetic and hands-on person, and I enjoy doing things with kids rather than just supervising, crafts, games, imaginative play, helping with homework, or getting outside and keeping them engaged.
