I am a dedicated and experienced nanny with over four years of hands-on experience supporting young children through the most important stages of their early development. My approach is deeply child-focused, grounded in a strong understanding of child development and a genuine passion for nurturing each child’s individual growth, wellbeing, and potential.
I began my nannying career in Ireland caring for two boys aged just 3 months and 18 months. Supporting them from infancy through early childhood gave me invaluable insight into key developmental milestones, including attachment formation, language development, emotional regulation, and early social skills. I provided consistent, responsive care tailored to their evolving needs, creating a secure and nurturing environment where they felt safe to explore, learn, and develop confidence.
As a qualified social worker, I bring a comprehensive understanding of child development theories and evidence-based practice to my work. This enables me to take a thoughtful and intentional approach to caregiving—supporting not only children’s physical needs, but also their emotional, social, and cognitive development. I am particularly attuned to the importance of secure attachments, positive reinforcement, and play-based learning in fostering resilience, independence, and self-esteem.
I design and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that support developmental progression, from sensory play and early communication for infants to imaginative play, problem-solving, and social interaction for older children. My experience as a children’s soccer coach (ages 18 months to 5 years) and drama teacher (ages 7–12) has further strengthened my ability to support physical development, creativity, confidence, and teamwork in a fun and structured way.
I am passionate about creating a warm, safe, and stimulating environment where children feel valued, understood, and supported as individuals. I take a person-centred approach, recognising that every child develops at their own pace and tailoring my care to meet their unique needs, interests, and personality.
My goal is always to provide high-quality, developmentally informed care that supports children to thrive emotionally, socially, and cognitively, while building strong, trusting relationships with both children and their families.
