Hello Families!
My name is Jayne, and I’m a 24-year-old from Ireland who now calls Sydney home. During my teenage years and throughout university, I had the wonderful opportunity to care for several children in their homes, providing support to their families. I truly miss these experiences and am eager to connect with families to offer regular support while building meaningful relationships.
I hold a Bachelor of Nursing and have spent two years working as an Emergency Department nurse. This role has taught me to remain calm under pressure, think quickly, and adapt to any situation. Working in a high-stress environment has sharpened my problem-solving skills and deepened my empathy—qualities that are essential when caring for children. I prioritise their well-being, creating a nurturing and supportive environment where they feel secure and cared for.
I find working with children to be one of the most rewarding experiences, sadly it is something I do less now due to my nursing career. Their innocence and curiosity remind us to appreciate the simple joys in life. The unconditional love they express, along with their playful spirit and genuine enthusiasm, creates a heartwarming atmosphere that is truly special.
I am eager to contribute to their development and well-being, ensuring they feel safe and supported as they navigate the world around them.I’m excited to work with children again and hope to do so on a more regular basis. I would be more than happy to meet you and your family beforehand to ensure that I’m the right fit.
I look forward to hearing from you!
Best wishes,
Jayne
