I've been looking after kids since I was 14, starting out babysitting for families in my neighbourhood, and it's something I've genuinely always loved. Over the years, that's grown into more formal experience, including two part-time nanny roles and some time working at a childcare centre during school holidays (8 months all up). With my first nanny family, I started when their daughter was just 5 months old and was with her until she turned two, so I got to be part of a lot of firsts! My second role was with a baby from 6 to 10 months, a gorgeous (and busy!) stage of development. The childcare centre work was a different experience again and taught me a lot about working with multiple kids and ages in a more structured environment. I'm First Aid certified and pretty adaptable in how I care for kids; some days call for messy play and running around outside, others are more about quiet time and cuddles.
