Hi, Iām Grace! Iām 22 years old and currently in my final year of studying Nursing at university, with the goal of becoming a NICU nurse.
Iām the youngest of seven siblings (my oldest sibling is 44!), which means Iāve grown up surrounded by children. I have nine nieces and nephews, and my first nephew was born when I was 12. Thatās where my love for babies and young children really began. My family jokingly calls me the ālive-in nannyā because whenever a new baby arrives, Iām always the first to step in and give Mum and Dad a well earned break.
For the past three years, Iāve also worked as a support worker, providing compassionate, person-centred care to people with a range of needs. This role has strengthened my patience, communication skills, adaptability, and ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
Throughout my nursing degree, Iāve completed clinical placements across a range of hospital settings, including paediatrics, where Iāve gained valuable experience caring for infants, toddlers and young children. My nursing training has strengthened my ability to provide safe, compassionate and developmentally appropriate care while remaining calm and attentive in all situations.
I hold a current Working With Children Check and Police Check and am local to the Cobbitty area.
I believe every family is unique, so I take a warm, patient and holistic approach to childcare, supporting not only the children but the whole family. My availability is flexible and can be discussed to suit your familyās individual needs.
Iād love the opportunity to get to know your family and provide a safe, caring and fun environment for your little ones!
