Hi! My name is Laura, and I’m a friendly, reliable and caring babysitter who genuinely enjoys spending time with children. I finished Year 12 at Canberra College last year, and I’m not at university this year, so I have flexible availability and would love to help out families who need an extra pair of hands.
I currently work as a swim teacher, where I teach toddlers and children swimming and water safety skills. Because of this, I’m very used to working with kids in a patient, calm and encouraging way, while also making sure they feel safe, supported and confident. I really enjoy helping children learn new things, build confidence and have fun in a positive environment.
I also have relevant qualifications, including my Working With Vulnerable People card, CPR certification, Swim Teacher qualification and Safeguarding Children training. These have helped me understand the importance of safety, communication and being responsible when caring for children.
I’m happy to help with playtime, simple homework, routines, meals, bedtime, and keeping kids entertained in a fun and caring way. I would describe myself as warm, patient, easygoing and dependable, and I’d love the opportunity to support your family and make your children feel comfortable and cared for.
