We’re a close-knit family with 2 beautiful children and a friendly cavoodle dog. We love the outdoors and have a healthy sense of fun.
2 children – 14 and 11 are active, love the outdoors and are polite and well behaved. Our 11-year old has an Intellectual Disability, Autism Spectrum Disorder and is non-verbal, however he is very well adjusted and can get across what he wants easily. He is loved by his school community and peers as a gentle, affectionate and loving boy.
We are looking for someone to help us for 15-25 hours per week. Most of these hours would be afternoons / early evenings during the school week. We may also need help on a Saturday, or a night out on the weekend. Whilst we like to run to a schedule, we also value the ability for both parties to be flexible and spontaneous when required. During school holidays, we generally require more hours, often during the daytime while we are working.
We will be welcoming a new baby in April this year and so there will be more hours required to assist with a newborn during the day.
Ideally we would love to find someone who speaks either Spanish, Mandarin, French or Italian and can speak to our young baby as they grow up.
The arrangement is negotiable based on experience, however would be around $35-40 per hour, with access to a car if required (although own car preferred) and additional discretionary benefits along the way.
We are looking for someone to start as soon as possible, but prepared to be patient and negotiate rates for the right candidate! We would really love to find someone who will be with our family for the long term. Longevity is one of the most important factors for us!
Must have all the appropriate checks and the ability to drive.
