I have worked 25yrs in Child Protection and mental health counselling. I love children and teenagers as they have so much to offer if we only truly listen. The greatest gift we can give our young is to be consistent and not focus on the negatives, reward the positives, and build on the negatives in a positive manner. I have raised 4 amazing children on my own plus 2000+ in Child Protection so I definitely have the experience :-)
