Meet Megan: A nanny, babysitter, and au pair in Southport, QLD

Hi!

Im Megan, a 27 year old nursery and primary school teacher from the UK. I arrived in Australia on a WHV in July and will be hoping to stay for at least 12 months. I have two university degrees (Psychology and Primary Education) and I have been a Reception class teacher (pupils aged 4 and 5) in the UK for 4 years before then spending this past year working in a private nursery setting with babies and toddlers ranging in ages from 5 months to 3 years old. Prior to this, throughout my studies, I worked as a key member of a care team providing educational and social support for a beautiful little boy who was non verbal, autistic. I am extremely sporty and enjoy spending time outside and in nature exploring as much as I can. I have a Level 2 swimming teacher qualification and in my spare time have coached the local swim team development squad (children aged 8/9/10) and provided 1-2-1 swimming lessons for children ages 3 onwards. I currently have a UK DBS certificate ensuring that I am safe and able to work with vulnerable groups and children in addition to also holding a QLD blue card. I currently also have a Level 3 paediatric first aid qualification and a lifeguard qualification which includes first aid and CPR.
