Meet Mimi: A nanny and babysitter in Malvern East, VIC

Hi, I’m Mimi, 27 from the UK!

I previously qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive Lawyer and worked in law for 6.5 years before transitioning to Marketing & Media Production, where I spent a year working before deciding to quit my job to travel the world! I am now a Qualified Hypnotherapist & Rapid Transformational Therapist with a special interest in childcare and childcare development.

I previously worked as an au pair for 3.5 months and also took on ad-hoc nannying/babysitting and dog sitting work whilst working in hospitality/the hotel industry. I am currently looking for part-time nannying or babysitting to work around my current full-time position as a Guest Services Agent at a 5* hotel (my schedule will be flexible in the coming weeks once I am fully trained). I am also working on my own business and freelance writing in my spare time.

Prior to this, my previous childcare experience involved after my 4-year-old niece during the pandemic (during which time I moved in with my sister for 6 months). This involved helping her get ready in the mornings, have breakfast, help her with her school work, playing games and spending quality time with her while my sister was working. I also volunteered as an English & Maths tutor for an Italian family whilst staying in Thailand (April 2023) and also recently volunteered at a school in Thailand for 3 weeks as a teacher (November 2023).
