Meet michelle: A nanny and babysitter in Kilsyth, VIC

Hi lovely families, I’m Michelle a mum of 2 grown daughters and 2 amazing grandsons. I have been working as a nanny for a wonderful family in Balwyn North for the past 11 years. As the children are now both in secondary school my hours have been reduced, since the children are quite independent. (i still do 3 midweek evening shifts each week from Tuesday to Thursday).

I have thoroughly enjoyed my varied role within the family over the past 11 years, and I would absolutely love to meet another family with a view to a similar long term position.

I am happy to prepare meals, drive the children to before and after school commitments, assist with homework, perform light housework, etc and follow parent routines.

My reason for choosing babysitting/nannying is that I enjoy being part of a busy household, and especially being around, and caring for children. In my view, children thrive in an environment which is positive and nurturing, and a sense of humour is essential. I studied teaching part time for 5 years (completed most of my degree) while my girls were younger, and have tutored numerous primary and secondary students in Maths over the years.

I am looking for a permanent part time position, and am happy to babysit/nanny in the mornings, evenings, and over the weekends on a casual basis as well. I know from experience, how difficult it can be to juggle work, and family time. I am an energetic, positive, easy going person, and I will thoroughly enjoy getting to know another family. I am also free for school holiday care.

I am very responsible and reliable, and I’m happy to obtain a first aid certificate prior to commencing work.
