Meet Laura: A nanny and babysitter in Annandale, NSW

I’m Laura, a psychologist from Colombia who came to Australia to expand my horizons and experience, as I’m open to anything that can help me to learn new things. I’m a very diligent and trustworthy, pay attention to details, I like to do things the best I can and also have a high sense of responsibility. I love working with children, playing and teaching them things that can help their current development, physical and mental.

I started working as a babysitter when my nephew was born in April 2020 until August 2024. Because his mother was quite busy working, I offered my help and eventually started working with her and my brother officially, taking care of baby Emilio through the years. I helped with feeding, raising, playing, teaching and taking care in general. Because of my profession, I fully believe in gentle parenting and the right and efficient way to teach. I like to be prepared, read and research in topics related to the kids growth and development.

Because I’m kind of new in Australia I don’t have current certificates that are often asked for working as a nanny but I’m open and happy to obtain if needed.

I have good skills in communication and my English is great.
