Meet Mariah: A nanny and babysitter in St Kilda, VIC

I'm currently working as an Additional Assistant at a Kindergarten and completing a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy, with the dream of becoming a paediatric OT.

In terms of my experience, along with my current work in a Kindergarten, I have completed OT placements in both specialist and mainstream schools as well as volunteered at a specialist school. I worked in Canada as an Au Pair/Live-in Nanny for 2 years with 2 amazing families. I worked full-time for 1 year with a G3/4 and B4/5 and I then worked with a family that required part-time before and after school care for their G5/6 and G9/10.

I also worked in Scotland as an Au Pair with a gorgeous 10-15mo old and in London as a teaching assistant.

I am passionate about working with children and love to 'muck-in' with the kids, take them on outings and participate in engaging activities. I will always show respect and compassion towards kids as they navigate their emotions. I am happy to prepare kids meals, do the kids laundry and the night-time routine etc. My previous work experience, coupled with my compassion, enthusiasm, honesty and nurturing nature allows me to build a wonderful rapport with children and parents.
