Meet Amelie: A nanny and babysitter in Maroubra, NSW

I am a highly dedicated and experienced childcare professional with a genuine passion for supporting children’s growth, development, and emotional well-being. I am excited to apply for the Nanny/Housekeeping role with your family, where I can provide nurturing and structured care while offering reliable household management and tailored family support.

Having grown up in Randwick and now living in Maroubra, I am very familiar with the Eastern Suburbs, including its parks and beaches. I am an everyday driver, confident in safely transporting children to daycare, activities, or local outings. My car comfortably accommodates two baby seats and has plenty of boot space for groceries or toys that come along for the ride.

My childcare journey began as an aerial coach for children aged 4–17, where I developed patience, mentorship, and adaptive teaching skills. This inspired me to complete a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care and work as a full-time educator at Goodstart Early Learning, gaining hands-on experience in routines, developmental activities, and play-based learning. Since then, I have expanded into private nannying, supporting two families: one on a full-time basis with two boys aged 10 months and 3.5 years, and another on an ad hoc basis, caring for a girl aged 11 months and a 3.5-year-old boy.

I am committed to fostering children’s independence, confidence, and emotional regulation through structured routines, guided autonomy, and engaging play. I also have experience supporting children with disabilities and special needs, adapting activities to create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments.

Alongside childcare, I bring strong household management skills and a keen attention to detail, including meal preparation, laundry, organisation, scheduling, and maintaining a calm, tidy home. I take pride in anticipating family needs and ensuring the household runs smoothly, so parents can feel supported and at ease.

I hold current First Aid, CPR, and SIDS qualifications, a P1 Australian Driver’s Licence with my own vehicle, and excellent communication and problem-solving skills. I would be delighted to bring my energy, warmth, and organisation to support your children and household.
