Meet Alkira: A nanny and babysitter in Newport, VIC

I am energetic, strong, fit and young in mind and heart. I have raised 2 successful daughters and fostered 3 children from the ages of 19 months, 7 and 14. I love babies and children and really miss looking after and spending time with them, when in between nanny jobs. I have a lot of love to give, am very kind and patient, into empowering discipline, respectful behaviour and positive communication. I understand the importance of consistency and routine and especially the timing involved in raising happy, stable and balanced children. I prefer to spend time doing craft and creative persuits, cooking healthy meals (including allergy free) and encouraging reading or reading to children, teaching songs and games and going on outings. I'm happy to walk dogs, feed pets and even look after chooks! My children went to a Steiner school and I'm skilled at and familiar with Steiner craft and philosophy. I'm happy to take small children to Steiner playgroup if required. I understand the psychology of children and their behavioural changes and development. I am also great at following parent's directions and will aim to care for your child as you intend. I'm interested in a long term commitment.
