Meet jemma: A nanny in Hornsby, NSW

My name is Jemma I'm 37 and from the UK! I have worked with children for over 16years plus years.

I currently work in Animals care but am not yet ready to give up looking after and watching little ones grown in to the amazing individuals they are. And so am looking for a caring/ help roll that may also fit my casual work.

A little about me.... I have a first year diploma in early years child care and a NVQ 2/3 in child care! The Australian equivalent is a certificate 3 in childcare and education. I have a recent UK first-aid certificate. I also have a full clean driving license. I have been a baby sitter from a young age a nanny to 5 different family's, worked in nursery's for 5 years including two here in Sydney and have also been a nanny for a well known holiday company!

These jobs have involved. Working for a professional working family for there new born twins and 6 and 8 year old girls! Duty's included night shifts feeding and changing twins then getting the older girls feed dressed and off to school! I also did household chores, cooking, cleaning washing etc. Another family I looked after a little girl from the age of 8month to 3year where I played a full time motherly role! From preparing bottles, feeds, baths and putting down to sleep we also went to baby yoga and baby meetings as her parents requested! Here in Sydney i have been an after school nanny for two girl ages 7 & 9 dutys included school pick up, attending afterschool activitys, cooking dinner and helping with home work. Another nanny role here was for a family of 5 having main care of a 2 year old in the day and 8 year old after school. Doing light household and food prep duty's too. I have also been an events nann. This included looking after small groups of children or child at private function, weddings and evening events! I've worked for a holiday company in France where I planned fun and educational activity's for the ages of 1to12 supervising lunch and dinner times and supervising sleepover club! And also working in daycare centers in the UK and here in Sydney.

I have done all these jobs maintaining a safe and loving environment! I am a very happy, positive individual and love watching the children I care for grow and develop in the best way possible!
