Hi there! I'm Ellen — a nurturing, energetic, and fun-loving nanny with a background that blends the best of two worlds: early childhood education and the culinary arts.
I hold a Certificate III in Children's Services as well as a Certificate III in Commercial Cookery and Patisserie, and have worked as both a professional chef and a professional nanny over the years. This means your little ones will not only be cared for with warmth and experience — they’ll also be enjoying delicious, wholesome meals (yes, even the fussy eaters!).
My approach to childcare is child-led, respectful, and creative. I love engaging in imaginative play, outdoor adventures, and gentle routines that support a child’s natural curiosity and independence. I'm also a big believer in holistic health and well-being — I’m currently studying to become a nutritionist — so I enjoy weaving in physical activities like bike riding, yoga, dancing, ball games, and of course, fun cooking activities that are age-appropriate and safe (think rolling dough, picking herbs from the garden, or decorating smoothies!).
I’ve worked in child care centres and as a private nanny, and I always strive to create a calm, secure, and laughter-filled environment where children feel seen and celebrated. I’m also a proud animal lover and more than happy to care for any four-legged family members along the way (I make a great dog walking buddy too!).
I’m available 2–3 weekdays per week, starting from 8:00 am, and am more than happy to prepare nutritious meals for the whole family or just the little ones.
If you’re looking for a nurturing, creative, and dependable nanny who can whip up a mean banana muffin and lead a yoga stretch before story time, I’d love to chat
