Looking for: Full-time,Part-time

I'm a mother of four grown children including twins who have all flown the nest. I have worked as a full- time nanny or carer on and off for 10 years with four different families all who have provided excellent references. In my last position I was a live in carer 4 days and 3 nights for an elderly client with dementia. After 3-year break, I am now re- entering the work force. I have experience looking after children of all ages and doubt there's an incident that I haven't dealt with in the past. My manner is polite and considerate, I am culturally aware and I also believe in trying to relate to children in a calm way which has proved in the past to be successful in gaining their trust as well as providing them with consistency and grounding. I've always loved children and get along with them well and I take pride in being a part of their life development. I'm gentle and understanding, but firm and seem to gain respect quite quickly. I also take care to uphold each particular family's' values and ideas of how they would like their children cared for. I have recently re applied for a Working with Children and Police Check that expired during my hiatus and should receive both within the next 2 weeks. In the past I have held two High risk White Cards as well as a National Police Check a Certificate in First Aid (current), including CPR. I have also worked in professional kitchens understanding safe food handling and have a wide variety of meals I'm able to cook if needed. I am looking for approximately 30 hours plus per week. I have no time restraints and am able to work back on the odd occasion if required and do occasional babysitting by arrangement. If you think I might fit into your family and would like to discuss any details or provide references, please don't hesitate to contact me. I look forward to hearing from you and starting a new family adventure together.
