Professional Nanny Position β Private Family (Part-Time)
A professional family is seeking an experienced, dedicated, and nurturing nanny to provide high-quality care for two young children (aged 1 and 3 years). This is an opportunity for a committed individual to become a trusted and valued part of a respectful and well-organised household.
Location: Melbourne (inner-east)
Position Type: Part-time (2β3 days per week, with occasional evening support)
Commencement: Flexible / by mutual agreement
Role Overview
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering attentive, developmentally appropriate care within a calm and structured home environment.
Two days per week will involve care of both children
One day per week will involve care of one child
Key responsibilities include:
Providing attentive care and supervision for one or both children depending on the day
Planning and engaging in age-appropriate developmental activities
Supporting daily routines including meals, naps, and transitions
Preparing and cooking simple, nutritious meals for the children (and occasionally family meals if required)
Undertaking light household duties related to the children (e.g. tidying play areas, childrenβs laundry, kitchen clean-up after meals)
Maintaining a calm, nurturing, and orderly environment
Communicating effectively with both children and parents
Candidate Profile
We are seeking a candidate who demonstrates:
Proven experience caring for infants and toddlers
A calm, warm, and patient demeanour
Strong reliability and professionalism
The ability to connect with children in an emotionally attuned, age-appropriate manner
Confidence working within a home where a parent may be present intermittently
Initiative in managing both childcare and light household responsibilities
Excellent communication skills and discretion
Essential / Preferred Qualifications:
Current Working With Children Check
First Aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
Relevant childcare qualifications (desirable but not essential)
