We are looking for someone kind and responsible to help us with our two children (13 and 11 years old) weekly, three afternoons per week (Tues, Wed, Thurs) from 3pm to 7pm. This care includes is to support our busy two-parent work schedules and kids’ care after school finishes and school/sports logistics.
Our children are 13yo/ yr8 (girl) and 11yo/ yr6 (boy). They are bright, active and clever kids who enjoy their sport (mainly oztag, soccer and basketball) and swimming.
The role will involve:
- Being at our home when the children arrive home from school;
- Being present while some homework is completed by the children;
Limiting/ monitoring screen time;
- Driving or collecting one or both of them to / from school activities/sports in the Eastern Suburbs;
- Walking our dog (a gorgeous 3yo Spoodle) from our home or while waiting at sports training;
- Once home again, arranging the children to have their showers;
- doing a small food shop if required;
- bringing in washing if required;
- Doing some dinner preparation and/or cooking/heating;
- Some tidying-up (yet not ‘cleaning’ as such).
It’s essential you have your drivers licence and own car (or one you could use); or drive our (manual) car and that you are a responsible and safe driver.

Our son is a funny, highly intelligent and warm hearted teenager who experiences daily challenges due to his ASD and ADHD diagnosis. He is highly verbal and often enjoys in depth conversations. He can at times become highly anxious and require support to manage his concerns. He has no physical disabilities. Essentially, our son requires help with daily organisation, meal preparation and outdoor activities. He attends school via correspondence and requires significant support in managing his daily tasks and overall school workload including assessments. He needs assistance and supervision when logging on for exams.
Our son is a fussy eater who is working towards independence when making meals, therefore meal preparation is required as well as teaching our son how to cook his own food. Daily exercise is critical, however he often resists this and so a supportive approach is best here.
Light household cleaning will be required such as cleaning dishes from the day, putting out a load of washing and ensuring our son's room is tidy. At the end of the day, the living area of the home needs to be left tidy.
Candidates must have an interest in working with neurodiverse teenagers. This role requires someone who is patient, kind and genuinely enjoys the company of teenagers. My name is Amanda and my family and I live in West Pymble. We have 2 boys - aged 12 and 14 who attend school a short train ride away. We are looking for someone to work with us on weekdays both in the morning (6.30am to 8am) and afternoons (3.30pm to 6.30pm). The boys are pretty self sufficient and used to the routine. Role would involve keeping them on track in the morning, making them breakfast and lunchboxes and driving them to train station (occasional school drop off may be required around sports training schedules). Then picking them up from local train after school, making afternoon snacks and lunches for next day and driving/picking up from local sports activities a couple of times a week. Ideally we are looking for someone to start in Term 2 (June) and commit for the rest of the school year in 2025 (through to early December). Rate negotiable.
