Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

I Graduated from Geelong Grammar in 2024 completing the IB program. I started uni at RMIT in 2025 doing engineering before I transferred this year into business. I’ve worked in hospitality over the last two years as well as after school pickup and evening babysitting my family friends’ 7-8 year old daughter (included driving to school pickup in the family’s car in south yarra area, dinner preparation, general house cleaning and playing games with their daughter). I am also the oldest of four girls and have lots of experience helping out at home and dealing with younger kids. I have a pretty flexible schedule and can make most timing work with my only rigid commitments being soccer training (mon and wed 7pm) and soccer games (sundays). I have a manual drivers license but no personal car however I can borrow one occasionally if needed.

I’m a responsible, caring, and enthusiastic person who truly enjoys supporting children’s growth and well-being. I’m currently studying Early Childhood Education and gaining practical experience through my placement at a childcare centre in Melbourne. I hold a valid Working With Children Check and have completed training in First Aid and Anaphylaxis management. I’m also a native Spanish speaker, which allows me to support bilingual families or introduce children to a second language. I’m committed to creating a safe, engaging, and nurturing environment where children can thrive. I’m a Colombian student currently living in Melbourne with strong ties to the community. Although I currently hold a one-year visa, I’m planning to continue my studies and build a long-term future here in Australia. I’m fully settled and committed to staying long-term, both personally and professionally.

I am a hardworking and lively person with a strong family orientation, which has given me extensive experience caring for young family members and friends. Having moved away from home for university, I have proven myself to be self-sufficient and capable of independently managing household chores and cleaning. I have experience running children’s surf lifesaving programs and volunteering at camps for young people with disabilities through The Flying Fox organisation. Through these experiences, I have developed the skills necessary to diligently supervise and entertain multiple children at once, including children with a range of interests, personalities and needs. I also have experience babysitting twin girls who are currently 18 months old. Through caring for them, I have become well-versed in keeping them entertained while patiently navigating their emotions and any challenges that may arise. I have also had an ongoing role in their nightly routine, including preparing and assisting with dinner, bathing and reading bedtime stories in accordance with their family’s routines and preferences. More broadly, I have babysat children of a range of ages and am able to provide engaging and creative entertainment. I enjoy staying active and creative in my own day-to-day life, which allows me to bring enthusiasm, energy and a variety of activities to my time caring for children.
