Looking for: Casual Babysitting

Hi there, I'm currently a student at UTS and have just moved to the Surry Hills area! I'm a kind-natured, easy-going, and fun-loving young woman that loves kids. I have plenty of experience looking after children in both paid and volunteer work in my local area. I completely understand the responsibility of nannying and do not take it lightly. I will always strive to be the best I can be and help kids grow and learn in a fun intriguing way, fostering their creativity and learning. I'm flexible reliable and able to help out where I can on little notice. I have two younger brothers and cousins and have always looked after them after school helping with homework, playing sports, and making sure they get to bed on time. I'm super easy to get along with as I have lived in host families overseas before and have also been a host. Moreover, I have run a lot of leadership and teaching programs in my schooling and university life, such as helping with P.E lessons and running junior school carnivals. I am sporty, arty, well-traveled, and happy to help with any activities thrown at me. I have my service honors, academic honors, and work experience as a teacher in Morree for a week, where I helped teach indigenous children there. I have Nannyed a family previously through 'Find a Babysitter', and worked at 'Teamkids' as an afterschool and before-school educator. Childcare isn't just about supervising children when their parents aren't able to, it's about bonding and building relationships to help kids become the best person they can be. I hope you got a chance to read over this. Thanks, Ellenor :)

Hello! I started working as a nanny when I was 16. In the beginning I used to look after my young cousins, but over time I started to look after more kids. Since then, I have worked as a nanny not only in Spain, but also in England and Australia, and it is something that I love doing. I have experience looking after kids from 6 months to 12 years old, although I have mostly worked with toddlers. Last year I was living in Sydney, and I worked for two amazing families. I looked after a 2-year-old boy and a 1.5-year-old girl. My tasks included cooking and feeding lunch and dinner (and sometimes dinner), nap and night routine, going to the beach and to the park, playgroups... The way I work is creating a fun and safe environments where kids can have a nice time while I help them to develop and achieve milestones. I have also graduated in Psychology, and I would like to get specialized in child psychology. Looking forward to meeting you:) Best, Berta

Looking for: Part-time,Casual Babysitting

Nanny with 18+ years experience passionate about working with the development and education of children. I have extensive experience with newborns, toddlers, children's up to age 10, multiples, nanny share, and disabilities.
Happy to keep log book for infant feeding, sleep, play, nappy change, and so on. Common questions parents ask their nannies during interviews: 1.) What inspired you to choose to work with young children? I was 18 and working in hospitality and not enjoying it. I watched an episode of Kids Say the Darnedest Things and said “every day working with kids would be one hilarious day after the next” The next week I landed a job at a daycare center working with the 3 year olds and I was right, everyday those kids would make me laugh out loud. But what has kept me in childcare is feeling that my job is directly nurturing the future of this world. 2.) What are you the most passionate about with your work? Education and physical development. I have a very good eye on how the physical body is developing and I’m very passionate about preventing physical problems by aiding the body to be used correctly when learning crawling, walking, etcetera. Education through play, where it does not feel like learning, is very important to me. A child feeling smart is the first step in them being smart. 3.) Which activities do you feel are important in a child's development during the early learning years? Interaction and repetition. Any games or activities interacting with others is key. Reading, singing, play time that incorporates multiple senses and movement like, paint, play-duh, sand and so on. For the under 1 year old, lots and lots of touch, singing, and exploring the outdoors. 4. Describe the most stressful situation you have been in when caring for children? Conflict with parents is always the most stressful part of childcare. Parents using positive reinforcement on negative behaviors ie: I make dinner for the children/ child, explaining this is what is for dinner, its ok if you don’t want it but that’s all there is for now. And then a parent coming in and giving the child a cookie. Telling a child he or she can do the next activity after they help tidy up but the parent comes in a gives them a new toy while there are 3 puzzles thrown across the floor. Explain the strategies you used to manage the issue. Communicating with the parent, explaining the situation with them and asking for their help to be able to do my job well. If you like my answers and you’d like to chat feel free to give me a call I look forward to talking to you about how I can best care for the needs of your family! Please provide email address and I will send you through my cv with a more detailed outline of my experiences.

Looking for: Full-time,Part-time,Casual Babysitting,Au Pair

Hi my familyyyyy :) My name is busra but I'm using nick name (alice ) and I am a 22-year-old Turkish girl currently living in Australia. I have been living here for two years, experiencing life in a different culture while improving my language skills and independence. In Turkish culture, taking care of younger siblings and relatives is very common. While we don’t have an official “au pair or demi pair” system, it is natural for older siblings or family members to look after the younger ones, helping them with daily tasks, schoolwork, and emotional support. Because of this, I have always been comfortable taking care of children, and I genuinely enjoy spending time with them. I would describe myself as responsible, caring, and open-minded. I love learning about different cultures, meeting new people, and experiencing life from different perspectives. Music is a big part of my life, and I also enjoy exploring new places, visiting museums, and spending time outdoors. One of my main reasons for becoming an au pair is to improve my English while living in a native-speaking environment. I believe this experience will allow me to not only strengthen my language skills but also create meaningful connections with my host family. I am eager to share my Turkish culture with you while also learning from yours. If you are looking for a responsible, kind, and adaptable demi pair, I would love to be a part of your family. I am excited about the possibility of joining your home and supporting your family in the best way I can. Looking forward to hearing from you ☺️☺️
